Operation LBD Harley

Available for Adoption!

OLBD Harley is an approximately 1 year old purebred, female Boykin Spaniel.   Per Harley’s foster mom, she is a little love and follows her everywhere and as such someone who is home a lot and has a lot of time to devote to her would be a perfect fit.  She’s not yet fond of the crate but can learn that it can be a safe and comfortable place for her.   She currently sleeps with her foster mom and is a snuggle bug.  She has a foster fur-sibling that she plays with and is learning the ropes from him.  She would be okay in a home with older children who are respectful of dogs but remember she’s still a puppy and will need training.  Harley is in great health, has been fully vetted and is spayed.

As with all our dogs, you will need to complete an adoption application and be fully and completely interviewed, processed and approved prior to Harley coming into your home.  You can complete an application on our website at www.operationlbd.com.  If you are an approved adopter for Operation LBD, you can email operationlbd@yahoo.com and express your interest in Harley.  Please always remember, it is our job to find OLBD Harley and all our rescues, the right fit home, always!!!  We will never waiver from putting the dog’s needs first!  Thank you for your understanding!

Operation LBD Jake

HW+ and currently looking for a Foster-to-Adopt family Only!

OLBD Jake is an approximately 2 yo, purebred, male Boykin Spaniel and is currently Heartworm +.   He loves to play in a fenced in yard or will lay in your lap for hours.   He gets along great with other dogs.

OLBD Jake is one of our newest intakes and has also sadly tested positive for those nasty heartworms during vetting!!  Because of this finding, Jake will ONLY be available as a Foster-to-Adopt to a person or family who can see him through full heartworm treatment.  Because of this situation, we want our dogs who go through heartworm treatment to be able to bond with their forever family from the start and not go through months of treatment with a temporary foster only to then be placed in another home after being cleared of treatment and after bonding with the foster.   We don’t believe that’s fair to the dog nor the foster – attachments do take place.  OLBD pays for the full cost of the heartworm treatment and formal adoption will take place AFTER he has been cleared of heartworms by his vet.  If you believe you can see Jake through treatment or would like more information on what exactly that entails, please email Cindi Love at operationlbd@yahoo.com.

As with all our dogs, you will need to complete an adoption application and be fully and completely interviewed, processed and approved prior to Jake coming into your home.

Please always remember, it is our job to find OLBD Jake and all our rescues, the right fit home, always!!!  We will never waiver from putting the dog’s needs first!  Thank you for your understanding!

Operation LBD Cole

HW+ and currently in his Foster-to-Adopt Home pending Adoption after HW treatment!!

UPDATE:  OLBD Cole is sadly Heartworm + but is currently in his Foster-to-Adopt home pending Adoption after HW Treatment, he is NOT available.

Cole is an approximately 6 year old purebred, male Boykin Spaniel.  What we know currently is he is a happy playful boy learning his inside manners. He was a breeder who tragically lost his mate and was so depressed. He has come back to life playing with the foster’s dogs and will be a great go with the flow family dog. A fenced yard with room to play will be best for this boy.   He is being fostered in South Carolina.  More details will follow about OLBD Cole as we learn more about him and his vetting is completed.

If you are interested in OLBD Cole or any of our dogs, the FIRST thing you should do is complete an adoption application.  Only approved applicants are chosen to adopt.  In order to adopt one of our dogs, you must complete the application and be ready to be interviewed and to advise your references including your vet that they will be contacted as well.   If you are an already approved applicant, please reach out to Cindi Love at operationlbd@yahoo.com to let her know of your interest.  Please always remember, it is our job to find OLBD Cole and all our rescues, the right fit home, always!!!  We will never waiver from putting the dog’s needs first!  Thank you for your understanding!

Operation LBD Brandy

HW + and Currently in her Foster-to-Adopt home pending Adoption after HW Treatment!!

Update:  OLBD Brandy is HW + and has found her Foster-to-Adopt home, she is Not Available!

Hello there… I’m OLBD Brandy… I’m approximately 7 years old and is as sweet as can be. I have served the Boykin world well by having multiple litters, but I didn’t get much freedom being kept in a crate. Now is my time to be what I truly wish for and that is being a lap dog and following my person everywhere. It’s good that I am a petite girl weighting 26 pounds, so I can fit well by your side with my head in your lap. I do love going on walks whether it’s on a leash or me by your side. I never wonder off or get distracted. I know to go into the fenced yard or go ‘bed’ or ‘kennel.’ I am very laid back and never chew anything. I am not food motived… I am person pleaser! I like both female and male people. I love my trips to Tractor Supply (we go often for that food my foster mom feeds those huge dogs she calls horses), and I ride in the truck there sitting in my back seat (I can jump into the truck too!) then I get to walk all around gathering supplies. I do like the big horse dogs, but I do get tied at the fence to keep me from getting stepped on since I get under them (I’m not afraid). I don’t mind being tied… I just watch and lay on the big piles of hay that are comfortable. Oh, and I love riding the gator around the farm. Even though I was not kept inside, I get to be inside now and have not had one mistake! I love laying on my inside bed or laying at my foster’s feet while she works. I stay quiet and take my naps while she works. Even though my foster mom loves me, she knows I would make someone wanting a true companion very happy and loved. My foster mom says, ‘you can’t find a better, sweeter or more appreciative petite girl than Brandy.’

I am taking medicine every day for my heartworms to prepare me for that shot to get rid of these awful worms. I will be spayed too as no more litters of pups for me! It will be a joyful & loving life for me from here on out since I was rescued!!!

Brandy has found her foster-to-adopt home.   Please always remember, it is our job to find OLBD Brandy and all our rescues, the right fit home, always!!!  We will never waiver from putting the dog’s needs first!  Thank you for your understanding!

FOSTER-to-ADOPT PENDING – Heartworm Positive!!!

OLBD Lillybelle is an approximately 5 yo, purebred, female Boykin Spaniel.  Check out her gorgeous hair and face!!!  We're so proud of Lillybelle as since being with her foster she has not had any accidents in the house.  She's learning how to play with toys, take treats, go up and downstairs, sleep on a soft bed and be a beloved pet.  She will be a mama no more!

OLBD Lillybelle is one of our newest intakes and has also sadly tested positive for those nasty heartworms during vetting!!  Because of this finding, Lillybelle will ONLY be available as a Foster-to-Adopt to a person or family who can see her through full heartworm treatment.  Beautiful Lillybelle has already begun phase 1 - 30 days of Doxycycline before the actual treatment begins.   Because of this situation, we want our dogs who go through heartworm treatment to be able to bond with their forever family from the start and not go through months of treatment with a temporary foster only to then be placed in another home after being cleared of treatment and after bonding with the foster.   We don't believe that's fair to the dog nor the foster - attachments do take place.  OLBD pays for the full cost of the heartworm treatment and formal adoption will take place AFTER she has been cleared of heartworms by his vet.  If you believe you can see Lillybelle through treatment or would like more information on what exactly that entails, please email Cindi Love at operationlbd@yahoo.com.

Tillie says:  I'm a 6 month old Boykin Spaniel and I'm what they call a girlkin.  I'm very much puppy.  Foster ma is proud of me cuz I use the doggie door.  Now, sumtimes I scratch on the backdoor to go out but the doggie door is more funner.   I sleep in the kennel and I don't beg to get out like I did when I was real little.  Don't tell my foster ma but I'd really rather sleep in her big bed.  Foster Ma is making sure I have no accidents in the house first.  I knows sit.  I sumtimes don't hear you call my name cuz it's fun to run the other way.  I play with my 4 foster brothers and sisters and luv them.  Foster ma has 4 of own and OLBD River too.  I'm having loads of fun with all my foster siblings.  I'd really like River to comes with me when I get my own family.  I want to have friends to play with and he luvs playin' with me too.  I have all my shots and I'm what they call microchipped.   Luvs, Tillie.
