Operation LBD Betty
Looking for a Foster-to-Adopt – Heartworm +!

Meet one of our newest intakes, the beautiful OLBD Betty. Betty is approx. 4 years old, a purebred, female Boykin Spaniel and sadly, heartworm positive. She’s in the right place with Operation LBD and will go through heartworm treatment and live a healthy life. You can read all about Miss Betty in her bio below with her beautiful photos. In addition to that information, this girl will need a fenced in yard or need to be leashed when she is outside so she doesn’t run away.
Operation LBD pays for all costs for heartworm treatment and if you believe you can see this sweet girl through her treatment and then to adoption, please complete an application for her. Betty is available for a foster-to-adopt home only so she can bond with her people throughout treatment. If interested in learning more about this process, please reach out to Cindi Love at operationlbd@yahoo.com.
As with all our dogs, you will need to complete an adoption application and be fully and completely interviewed, processed and approved prior to any of our dogs coming into your home. You can complete an application here on our website at www.operationlbd.com to get the process started. You must be an approved adopter to be considered for any of our dogs and you must meet the needs of the particular dog you are interested in. Please always remember, it is our job to find OLBD Betty and all our rescues, the right fit home, always!!! We will never waiver from putting the dog’s needs first! Thank you for your understanding!
Operation LBD Camden
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!

updateUpdateMeet OLBD Camden, one of our newest intakes. This handsome curly top is a pure-bred, male Boykin Spaniel and approximately 3 years old. Camden is super smart, loving and sweet boy who loves snuggling, fetching and eating. He does not understand personal space at all so he wants to be close to his people at all times. He does well in a crate as long as he knows someone is around but truth be told, he prefers a comfy bed. He gets along well with other dogs, has not been around nor tested with cats and does not like tree rats (squirrels). He walks well on a leash with his harness, is very active and loves to explore and play ball. A fully fenced yard is a must for this boy. He loves to catch a ball and is darn good at it. He is mostly housebroken but will still need work on that as he has marked a few times in his foster home. Good news though, he has never poo’d inside. Camden is working hard not to jump on people, but he’s finding it a bit harder to not do because he’s a licker and likes to like your face.
He came in to OLBD pretty much starved and is still skinny but has been eating well and putting on weight. Because of his lack of food before, he eats is food VERY FAST and will need a slow feeder bowl to help him slow it down a bit. He doesn’t show any fear nor aggression and does not appear to be afraid of thunder nor loud noises, thankfully. He’s such a good boy!

Operation LBD Lexi
ADOPTION PENDING!!

UPDATE: LEXI’S ADOPTION IS PENDING, THANK YOU!!
Meet OLBD Lexi, one of our newest intakes. This sweetie is almost 8 years old, a purebred female Boykin Spaniel and yes, this sweet thing is working on getting her svelte figure back. Miss Lexi has adapted very well to her foster family of 5 humans and a 3 year old lab. Sweet Lexi is overweight, on a diet and adjusting well to her new nutrition plan. Her foster Mom thought that with her being overweight, she would be unmotivated to exercise but nope, not our Lexi, show her the leash and she’s ready to go. She has been fully vetted and with the exception of her weight, is very healthy. She does very well on and off leash is house trained and responds beautifully to the work kennel when it’s time for her foster humans to leave the house and let her chill in her crate. Lexi would fit right in with any type of family but the right family is one who will be committed to helping her lose the extra pounds and get her to a healthy weight with feeding good nutrition, being disciplined about limiting treats and working with her to get a good amount of exercise. Short walks at first will do and then can increase as the weight starts to come off. She has a very sweet personality and loves attention, car rides and even a nice, warm bath.
