Hi all, I’m Patti Belle and I’m an approximately 5 yo, purebred, gorgeous, female Boykin Spaniel.   I’m ready to meet my forever family.  I’m heartworm negative, yay, spayed and UTD on all my vaccines.   I’m not a fany of playing with toys (just yet) but I absolutely love snuggles and tons of attention.  I get along really well with my fursiblings and love my foster humans.  I’m doing great with potty training and I’m foster mom takes me out regularly to help me with that.  I haven’t met cats yet so I’m not sure if I’d like them.  But, if you’re looking for a pretty, sweet, sweet Boykin, I’m your gal.  Maybe I could learn to sing for a treat if you helped me.  😉

Hi all, I’m Maggie Sue and I’m new to OLBD and with my foster in Georgia.   I’m ready to meet my forever family.  I’m an approximately 7 yo, purebred, female Boykin Spaniel.  I’m pretty laid back and chill.  I’ve been kenneled most of my life so I’m learning what it means to be housetrained and doing pretty well.  I love other dogs and quickly made friends with my foster siblings – another Boykin and a Lab.  I’m curious about my surroundings, I walk well on a leash and am doing well with crate training.  I like sleeping on a couch or a dog bed – anything beats a kennel floor.  I like people a lot but loud noises kind scare me.  I’m petite at 32 lbs.

Hi all, I’m Scout, an approximately 8 year old, purebred, male Boykin Spaniel.  He is completely vetted, utd on vaccines, neutered and housetrained.  He is very sweet and loving and is doing great with his foster family.  He loves to go for walks, loves swimming, car/golf cart rides and just relaxing on the porch with his foster mom soaking up kisses.   He needs a low key home to share with his humans.  He would do better in a home without small children.

Hi all, I’m Lena. I’m going to start with facts about me. I’m an approximately 6 yo, purebred, female Boykin Spaniel.  I’ve been fully vetted, am utd on vaccines and am spayed.  I like to sleep on the couch and in the bed with my foster ma. Now I do enjoy my foster dad more. I follow him around everywhere. I follow so close sometime I step on the back of his and foster mas shoes. I goes out the small hole in the wall with a flappy thing. Foster ma calls it a doggie door. She says I am doing better with potty training even though I still have accidents from time to time. Now I don’t like going outside at night to potty be myself. So a human has to come outside to protect me from the boogie man. I do ok in the kennel. I do whine a little but I do settle down. At night I do ok, no whining.   Also foster ma has taken me on car rides. I like them but I do shake some and pant. She also puts this rope thing around my neck and takes me for walks. She says I do really well on it. I also don’t like storms. Foster ma says I shake and pant some with them as well. But I am a cuddly girl and looking for someone who likes to cuddle.

Meet OLBD Mason, one of our newest intakes.   Mason is approximately 2-4 years old, is a purebred, male Boykin Spaniel and is unfortunately heartworm positive.   But don’t let that scare you.   Because of the heartworms, Mason will need a family looking to foster-to-adopt and to bond with him and see him through complete heartworm treatment.  He is as sweet as can be and loves playing ball in the yard and snuggling up on the couch.   Mason is housetrained and goes to the backdoor as a signal when he needs to go out.  He walks great on a leash and loves to explore.   He will need a fenced in yard as he’s a curious fella.

Hi, I’m OLBD Miley (fka Frisbee) and I’m brand new here.  I like my new name!!   I’m an approximately 5-year old, purebred, female Boykin Spaniel.   My foster Mom says I am just the “sweetest girl ever”!!  I’m pretty active, housetrained (for the most part) and learning to walk on a leash.  I’ve never really played with toys so I’m getting used to them and learning to play.   I love kids and just wanna be loved back and treated with kindness and gentleness.

Meet OLBD Thelma, one of our newest intakes.   Thelma is approximately 6.5 years old, a purebred, female Boykin Spaniel and is unfortunately heartworm positive.   But don’t let that scare you.   Because of the heartworms, Thelma will need a family looking to foster-to-adopt and to bond with her and see her through complete heartworm treatment.  Thelma is very affectionate and loves snuggling – she really doesn’t understand personal space, lol.   She is a little skittish at first meeting but warms up quickly.  and she doesn’t like loud noises.   She rides great in the car, loves exploring the fenced backyard and is easily corrected although she’s not great on a leash but can certainly learn through training.   She’s house trained and learned to use the foster family’s doggie door to go out within minutes.   She likes to sit on chairs and sleep in beds with comfy bedding.   She would be best in a home with a male dog as she’s submissive with her foster family’s male.  Like some females, she wants to rule the roost, lol, and would be best as the only female without a “Louise” in the home.

Meet another new intake, OLBD Penny, an approximately 1 year old, purebred, female Boykin Spaniel.   Penny was the runt of the litter.  She loves running in a fenced in yard and playing with her current other fur brother and sisters.  She is great with kids and will run and play with them.  Penny makes friends easy and warms up to anyone she comes in contact with. She is doing great with potty training with going outside regularly.  We are working on the jumping thing.  Penny is a great snuggle partner but will sleep/spend time in a crate with no complaints.  Shes learning to play with toys but hasn’t figured out the retrieving part yet but she has learned sit and shake.
